Divine Drama

: Not saying that I'm an avid movie watcher, rather, it's an analysis of whatever little I've seen. It's just my observation getting penned down. Give it a read and post your thoughts in the comment section.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cinema is culmination of arts. People, who are brilliant in the respective fields, come together to create magic. It exists in various forms; can be a 10-15 minutes short film or, a 3-hr long movie or, a series hour long episodes, etc. Has been the medium of entertainment & knowledge since a very very long time.

Bharat, being the janak of natyashashtra, needs a look at it's contemporary cinematic creations. Now, a nation as diverse as us creates almost 2000 movies per year. It would roughly mean a screen time of 6000 hours, if one has to watch all, which is impossible. The other hurdles being the language and the understanding of native culture of different parts of this great nation.

Accepting this reality, I would restrict my analysis to the "Bollywood" and few of the regional movies that I've watched. As it is clear from the title of this blog, it's a commentary on the role of Dharmic cameos in the Indian Cinema.

As much as wokeness has affected the Western bioscope, Ganga-Jamuni-Tahzeeb has done the same (or even more) damage to the Bhartiya big screens. Bollywood, being the prime culprit, needs a deep analysis of it.
That said, there have been multiple instances of "divine intervention" in movies..
Bharat, being a Dharmik society, enjoys the praise of Dharma in any form. For us, it's the representation of our internal ethos on a big screen. So whenever a character is shown as devout Ram-Bhakt or Shiv-Bhakt, we see a reflection of ourselves in him/her. And if the character itself is divine... then it feels as if we met 'prabhu'. That's a very big reason for success of films which have Dharmic content. Not only it adds people with them, that small divine intervention uplifts the quality of the movie to a level higher than usual.

Some examples:

1. RRR and Bahubali: Great movies. Master Rajamouli at his work.. but these scenes took the movie on a different scale..

See this Video attached, everything is just perfect. Moreover, the reaction of NT Rama Rao Jr is what we all were when we watched this scene, that's the direction, that's the genius SS Rajamouli.. Same happens when Prabhas lifts the ShivaLinga and the tribe watches it in awe..

2. Karthikeya 2
Remember the scene where Anupam Kher just explains the greatness of Shri Krishna, the way Nikhil Sidhhartha feels motivated and fills himself with pride, tells you the protagonist had a genuine affection for Shri Krishna.

3. Kantara
The plot, the acting, scenes were already brilliant. Rishabh Shetty delivered a masterpiece in the climax and had literally the divine intervention.

Well, if I go on giving names, it will not end. The already brilliant movies went into the zone of masterpiece after the DIVINE characters uplifted them.. One more example is of Swades, now I may not like Shah Rukh Khan but that movie was something that Bollywood never created afterwards.. and only 3 Idiots could come close. What made that excellent movie outstanding? The scene and the song which differentiates between Shri Rama and Ravana. And it's a 50 sec clip. Just that much.
A not so good movie 'Ram Setu' becomes a good one time watch because of that AP factor. Countless examples that if somewhat right intention are poured in, the almighty takes care of all.

Now, let's come to the main Part- AADIPURUSH

600+ crores to make that movie and on the theme of the timeless epic, RAMAYANA. I don't know how dumb one has to be to fuck this up too... May be as dumb as Bhushan Kumar, Om Raut and Manoj Muntashir...
So first review of this crap, watch these two videos by Ajeet Bharti to get an idea:

and

Will not say anything more if you have watched them. B'wood has some serious issue with anything that is Bhartiya. BRAHMASHTRA which came just a few months back had the same ploy to destroy the essence of Hindu Astras and Shashtras by showing them Hindu. Same has happened with this crap called AADIPURUSH.
My Rama is very kind hearted, he might forgive them for mincing only money in the name of his devotion but I'll never forgive these idiots.. Never!

On that note, JAI SHRI RAM to you all. Have a good day.
